La idea de las cafeterías Altomayo, división de la empresa de la familia Perales Huancaruna, es convertirse en la primera cadena del país en este rubro, afirma su gerente comercial, Juan Grández. “A diferencia de Starbucks, nosotros queremos lograr un establecimiento con identidad peruana”, detalla Grández.
El ejecutivo señala que, en promedio, sus ventas han crecido en 30% cada mes, entre sus locales de Megaplaza, Open Plaza Atocongo y los de los aeropuertos de Trujillo, Tarapoto y Pucallpa. Esta semana abrirán su tercer local, en el Jockey Plaza.
Con ello, sus inversiones llegarían a US$900.000, a lo que habría que sumar el acuerdo que tienen con la departamental Oechsle, para tener una cafetería en sus tiendas (cuatro este año). Pero también conversan con Plaza San Miguel y miran los aeropuertos de Piura, Chiclayo e Iquitos como una posibilidad.
Este año venderían US$4 millones, operando no menos de nueve locales, con la meta de tener 15 en el 2010 y vender US$6 millones.
