El bloque europeo alista un proyecto de cooperación técnica y económica con nuestro país, el cual entraría en vigor el próximo año.La Unión Europea destinará 16 millones de euros (unos 22,15 millones de dólares) para desarrollar un proyecto que promueva las exportaciones de productos agrícolas orgánicos peruanos, informó hoy el jefe de la Delegación de la Comisión Europea en Perú, Hans Allden.
“Tenemos un proyecto de cooperación que va a ir en paralelo con la entrada en vigencia del Tratado de Libre Comercio (TLC) entre el Perú y la Unión Europea, con este proyecto vamos a concentrarnos en los productos orgánicos agrícolas”, señaló.
Indicó que los representantes del bloque europeo están diseñando y formulando las características del proyecto, el cual empezará a ejecutarse el próximo año.
“El proyecto incluirá cooperación económica y técnica para impulsar el sector de productos orgánicos peruanos que tiene un mercado interesante en los consumidores europeos”, comentó.
IMPORTANCIA DEL PROYECTO
Hans Allden manifestó que el proyecto será uno de los más importantes que ejecutará la Unión Europea en Perú ya que, además de los 16 millones de euros que ofrecerá, se podrá contar con una contrapartida del gobierno peruano.
“Este año estamos formulando el proyecto y como el TLC entra en vigor en el 2012, la idea es que el proyecto también entre en vigor al mismo tiempo”, acotó.
Agregó que este proyecto tiene como objetivo apoyar a las empresas exportadoras de productos orgánicos y será ejecutado de manera conjunta con los ministerios de Comercio Exterior y Turismo (Mincetur) y del Ambiente (Minam), ya que son las entidades con mayor interés en fomentar la producción orgánica.
